ALL ANIMALS, BIRDS & ITEMS WILL SELL AT AUCTION ~ No Admission Fee Friday Evening ~ Saturday Admission Fee $5.00 per person, 12 & under Free
Hoof Stock Commission per lot: 10% ~ $10.00 per head minimum charge. $1.00 per head vet fee. Caged Birds, Animals & Equipment Commission: 20% ~ $2.00 per lot minimum.
IOWA LAW NOW regulates the sale or possession of Dangerous Wild Animals as defined under Iowa Code Chapter 717F. All Consignors and Buyers need to be aware of and abide by the law.
READ THIS CAREFULLY ~ All Out of State Consignments MUST have Interstate Health Certificate and Applicable Test Papers for all shipments, including Bovine, Equine, Cervidae, Sheep, Goats, etc. NO EXCEPTIONS.
PULLORUM REQUIREMENTS: All birds (except cage birds & pigeons) MUST satisfy one of these: 1.) Valid Pullorum test within 90 days of the sale - test paper required. 2.) Be tested at sale site before check in. Seller pays cost of test. 3.) Written certification that all chicks too young to test, and all eggs are from a certified hatchery or Pullorum Free Flock, with NPIP#.
NOTE: CAGES MUST HAVE SOLID BOTTOMS, WATER & FEED PANS. IF NOT THEY WILL BE NOT ACCEPTED !!!!!
SHEEP - Must have scrapies ID Tags.
GOATS - Must have scrapied ID Tag. Goats coming from out of state must have negative TB & Brucellosis Test within 30 days of the auction.
EQUINE - Mobile Lab will be on grounds for Coggins Test. Any horse that does not have a current Coggins Test, blood will be drawn and test run that day. Cost of test will be $25.00 per head paid by the consignor.
IOWA GAME BREEDERS PERMIT: Required: All game animals and birds native to Iowa (except Whitetail Deer) - Call the DNR at 515-281-8688.
HEALTH REQUIREMENTS: Deer & Elk - Iowa Deer & Elk must originate from a herd not under quarantine. Testing not required, BUT must stay in Iowa. Out of State Deer & Elk over six months old must originate from herd not under quarantine AND be tested negative for TB and Bangs within 90 days of the sale, OR originate from an "Accredited" herd and "Certified Brucellosis - Free" Cervid Herd.
ALL W.T. DEER AND ELK MUST BE from a herd that has been officially monitored for CWD ( Chronic Wasting Disease) for at least 2 years. CWD no longer applies to Fallow, Sika, Munt Jac.
CATTLE & BISON - Check with your vet. Any from Minnesota must be tested or be a "Certified Free" herd. (Your vet must call Des Moines for Entry Permit.)
