Oh no! My pic did not show up! I don't know what happend. For some reason it will not let me post a pic. And my laptop does not work! Is this okay!?! I'm sorry.

I'm doing it on my phone because there is something wrong with my laptop. But I am hitting the little pic box next to the little video box. It says backyard chickens says and then has a place to typ something in at and I do not no what to do right there. Am I doing something wrong?

On my iPhone, the insert picture icon looks like a landscape. (Right below "reply" but above where you type. It should come up with an embed an image screen. Choose either upload from your phone or enter URL. Then touch submit.

Yea, I touch the thing that looks like a landscape and it does not give me any options. It says the page at backyardchickens says. And then it has a box to typ something in at. And then I dont know what to do? It looks like I'm suppost to typ something in but how do I choose one of my pics by typing something in?

Short story

What is an egg? A food some might say, a potential life to others maybe. An egg is a little packet of joy, you get them and can use them any way you want. Cook them, hard-boil them, make them into wondrous dishes with extraordinary tastes that stimulate the senses and enhance our lives with their exquisite flavors that have infinite ends……..

Or….

You could do something different. Cause something barely short of a miracle, allow for a whole experience that will change you, change the egg, blow your mind and fill your heart with wonder and forever leave your memory with images of happiness. You could Hatch It.

Out of the chicken it comes, and into a chicken it becomes, in only a matter of weeks.

You first start off with eggs, there’s nothing really in them yet, and it’s hard to believe they can turn into something just by being kept warm. Day after day you check on them, nothing has changed, they look exactly the same as they did the day you took them out of the nest. But are they the same inside? Not at all.

Reactions are going on inside, veins are growing, arteries are forming; a small heart beat can be faintly seen, pumping away….getting bigger and clearer by the day. A smile crosses your face as you watch in awe, the beginning of a life. You start checking on them every day, wondering what changes are happening, getting more and more attached to these little capsules that sit in warmth waiting on their special day. It seems like a thousand forevers checking on the little guys every day, drowning in anticipation.

It’s day 18. What? Was it not day 1 just yesterday? You rush, getting the little eggs out of the incubator and preparing them for hatch. As you run around the room putting things in and taking things out, there is a twinkle in your eye, a differentness about your smile, a certain high you can’t explain, you haven’t felt this way since you were a kid, waiting for Christmas morning. It’s Lockdown Time. You can’t open the lid to check on them anymore, can’t touch them, help them, nothing. Now you wait.

Its day 21, the Christmas morning you’ve been awaiting. You are exited as never before, excitement runs through your veins knowing “they’re going to hatch today”. Nothing else matters, it’s raining outside on an early Saturday morning. You grab a chair and sit beside the incubator. With a warm blanket over your shoulders, and a plate of food on your lap, you wait. You hear the rain pitter patter across the roof and on the window; you sit comfortably in warm clothes awaiting a wonder. And then…You hear another noise. Can it be? You hear peeps from the chicks within their shells. Beautiful voices fill your ears. With eyes that are fine tuned for movement, just for this day, you spot one of the eggs. It rocks back and forth and you scoot closer with a curious mind and a happy face, this is the first one finally.

It pips a small hole, the chick inside starts getting busy, it spend hours upon hours zipping a line around the egg. You hear it peep and the excitement you feel is unbelievable. Time passes by, you stick next to the incubator. You watch, eyes forever glued on that egg, and you can start to see who’s been living in there for the past few weeks. The chick pushes, breaking the skin and shell of an egg that has protected him and enclosed over his forming body. It delivers another strong push, its head is revealed, popping out of the shell. You can’t help but smile. With a little wet head, the new life gazes into your eyes. An indescribable feeling is created in your heart. You will remember that look. You realize now these are chicks you are hatching, and the once important egg, is now just a ripped shell.

With its last remaining strength, it kicks the other part of the shell away. A wet little body, tired, lays down and sleeps. It has hatched. You have witnessed a miracle. You stand in awe completely amazed at what is beheld before your eyes.

But it isn’t the end; it’s the awakening genesis of a whole new world, the beginning of a chick’s life and other hatchings to come.
