Well, I can't believe it !!! I'm in shock I candled the last egg I have in the incubator like # 15 or 16 and there is actually a embryo growing. I still have 6 eggs outside in Camelia's nest that Im gonna let her take care of and she is still laying after I think I counted 22 eggs total so far.

She might lay quite a few more. Bunnie laid forever last year. That is how she got her name, after the energizer bunny. She just kept going and going and going.

Willow has been laying eggs, I took the first 10 I left 1 in the nest overnight and she started sitting on it yesterday and today ,if I take the egg out of the nest do you think she'll start laying again or is she done for the year? I thought she might lay more than 11 eggs?

I have only got about a dozen eggs from 2 of my girls. Then they just stopped. Not broody....really hoping they start again.
Is that normal for Sebs? Last year we had to leave them for a week and they all went broody and that was it.

My Toulouse are so different. They lay straight through from December to about June.

They might take a break in between clutches. I have 12 eggs to set that were laid while I was gone to a show this weekend.

I need to go candle the 12 or so that were set last week.

Thanks, Jean. Still a lot to learn about this breed.

I had a crappy hatch this weekend. I think I locked them down too early. I saw at least 3 of 4 what appeared to be shadowing, and they were all rocking like crazy, but only one hatched. Thank goodness I had a runner duck egg in there with it. They are best buds, but they also talk and run toward the humans too.

Anybody have an idea of what color this one might be?

Good news here are the girls are laying like crazy and fertilty have been great. Have 4 babies hatched so far and 2 1/2 dozen eggs in the incubator and a dozen more to set tomorrow. Girls show no signs of stopping so looks like I am going to be goose crazy here for a while. Yay!!!
Here is first baby of 2013 and my flock of sebbies that are going crazy here.LOL

Thanks, Last year was okay but they were all just a year and still figuring things out. This year they have it all down pat and are going great guns! I have 5 boys and 5 girls so fertility is not an issue either.LOL
