well Willow sat on that one egg of hers and a duck egg that I stuck under her for two days, then she quit sitting, I took the goose egg and put it in the incubator, the duck egg was gone, completely disappeared. I dont know what is going on lol maybe she will start laying again

so is it really that bad if i have eggs in a turner? 3 of the four that i have in there seem to be fertile and growing plus i got call ducks eggs in there really don't want to hand turn them all!!!

goose eggs should be kept on their sides the entire time, they just develop better that way, making it to hatch

Yep Barb, thats what they were on for the past year 16%, I just up the protien a couple months ago. Jean I really don't know for sure, I've had her for three years and I assumed she was two to three years old when i got her but I can't remember what Jenifer said when I asked her. Maybe my ganders were just to young last year and this year. Now I do feed them cat food as treats would that make much of a difference ?

Its the gander that determines whether an egg is fertile or not. If your goose is laying eggs shes doing her part but variables obviously occur.
Have the ganders this goose has been with fertilized eggs from other females?
I've had 3 Sebastopol ganders (from different breeders but mainly from the famous bloodline) that were not doing the job, now one I purchased last year who I got live goslings from
has all infertile eggs so far this year with the same 2 girls. I have 5 other Seb ganders making fertile eggs on the same diet so go figure.
I'm beginning to think low and infertility may be a problem in Sebastopol ganders and yes it is frustrating.

You might want to try feeding gamebird breeder and adding Calf Manna according to the directions for poultry during the breeding season.

I've never trimmed feathers even on the fluffiest bottoms but it wouldn't hurt to try.
My gutt feeling is thats not the problem with these dud ganders.
