2014 breeding season begins, post your results

Mine started calling at age two.

-Kathy
All mine are making the cat calls some of them sound so pitiful in the end, like someone grabbed them around their necks and squeezed while they were calling funny as heck to hear.
Sounds like a choir when they all start up together, i love it but can not imagine having neighbors close by, i would be afraid someone would complain, heck i am waiting for the laws to show up looking fora victim , i lost 7 nearby neighbors in the last year, things are changing and there are new people in the area i don't know.

Some one way back behind me drives a big rig, don't know who but i can hear them laying on the horn when they come in, bad thing Peas can to and they are on a mission to find that loud mouth peacock they hear threw the woods, like to never got them turned around the first couple times.

And so it begins, lol. This is from my coming 5 year old IB that has a white throat patch and white flights.

Congrats Kathy! One of my silver pied hens is standing in the "I'm gonna lay an egg" posture this morning! Hopefully we get our first egg tonight.

I just came up from the barn, she looks the same. I gave her a nice scrambled egg(with shell) for breakfast this morning and she has a dish of oyster shell. She doesn't seem distressed at this point, she's eating like a pig and she just has that wings lowered and butt up posture we all know so well. I'll be sneaking down later, but she is a late layer, I never get her eggs in the evening, but they are there the next morning.
