2014 breeding season begins, post your results

About to start my incubating experiment, lol. Still need to make the eggs with x's and o's for turning. Here they are, 42 old eggs!

Kathy, please let me know what the oldest to develop is. I never know how long I can let a hatching egg sit and I'm curious, I had a 12 day old one hatch last year, but that was the oldest I tried. Thanks!

Oh that has a high stink potential!
Hope she is using an unwanted incubator

Quote: Several of my last eggs to hatch were 15-18 days old when I set them, but some of these are really old, like the one in the upper left, it's from 5-31! I don't expect much from this incubator, but I'd rather put only fresh eggs in the RCOM and under hens.

Got lots of experience candling exploders from chickens and ducks and they *always* have the same basic look, so I'm pretty confident I'll be able to toss them before they explode. One sure sign is if you jiggle one and hear sloshing inside, toss it, 'cause that ones about to explode, lol.
