... They do lose weight for the first few days as they process their yolk and as the edema on their heads and neck resolves.
This is what it's umbilicus looked like last night, perfect!

Just when I thought I should turn off my incubator I got 4 new eggs from my Opal bs sliver pied pen, and all off them are fertile

Oh my, I was kind of hoping since it is so late in the season, that those 5 eggs my Silver Pied hen is sitting on would be blanks. If they hatch it's going to start getting cold very soon afterward, I may end up having to move all of them into the small heated barn my Green is in.

But congrats to you on the Opal bs sp's!

As you know things are different here, if you were living here you will never hope those eggs to be clear

Silver pied peafowls in any color worth a lot here.
