2014 Hatchery Chick Orders

Just picked up my chicks! All 26 arrived alive. They are a Heavy Breed Pullet Assortment from Cackle Hatchery. There are supposed to be at least 3 breeds, so my thoughts on breeds are Barred Rocks, Cuckoo Marans, Indian Rivers, and/or Rhode Island Whites. There might be White Wyandottes, but I haven't checked comb type on all the chicks yet. Here is the pics. the chicks on the other side of the brooder are the 4 remaining pullets from my batch I hatched myself 5 weeks ago.

My chicks from Cackle got here today!! I got 16 total with one extra Faverolle. I got 5 EE's, 5 Brown Leghorns, and 6 Salmon Faverolles. I am not sure if one of the faverolles is going to make it or not. She just stands underneath the light. I have to make her drink water and she won't eat either. When I opened the box she was just laying there as the other ones were running over her. All the rest are very lively and look healthy. Hopefully she makes it! She is the one in the last picture sleeping. I am very pleased with what I got from Cackle. Their customer service was great too. I will definitely be ordering from them next year!

no, I haven't. she wont drink on her own. do I have to boil it?
