my ducklings are shipping today but Metzer's has yet to email me and say so and provide tracking...hope they do soon
nope nothing from Metzer's...but maybe i'll get something in the morning. i prefer Ideal's habit of emailing me a day before the chicks ship....this whole not a thing makes me nervous. i have emailed Metzer's and asked them if the ducklings had shipped or notDid you ever get your tracking number? Maybe they'll get it to you in the morning. I got mine today and at last check the chicks were still in ohio. Hope they make to me to quickly since we have cold weather coming
I just got some from there and my experience was ok. I ordered 15 they sent one extra, but two died within the first day and one died the next. The three that died were all Salmon Faverolles. I think that breed doesn't handle stress very well and I think it was due to stress during shipping that killed them. I also got EE's and brown leghorns from there and I love their color assortment. Good birds and customer service was great!I'm looking into buying some Rhode Island Whites and due to coop space limitations I can't have a huge minimum. So while looking I found some on Cacklehatchery.com and i'm just wondering if anyone has ordered chicks from there and if they were a decent pet quality?
I've always had good shipments from them. Rarely do I lose any, they always send extras, and the customer service is great. I always recommend them. I have never ordered any small order specials though.I'm looking into buying some Rhode Island Whites and due to coop space limitations I can't have a huge minimum.
