2014 New York Chickenstock

I just sent DH to get a snow blower, I cant even deal anymore. LOL He said he'd rather get one on it's own rather than the attachment for the john deer. I went out there to shovel paths to the rabbits/ducks/chickens and I just can't. Came in and sent him out to fetch me one. LOL

Smart man. You really don't want to put extra running hours on the JD to remove snow. AND if you have it on the tractor you have to THEN get tire chains. And if it gets stuck? Then YOU have to go push it out of the snow. (And you were trying to avoid snow, as I recall. LOL) If he manages to score one this late in the year you won't regret it, because there is NO SNOW coming in the near future, so you can use it as a lawn ornament; another sign spring is coming. You can look out your window and say "yup, got a snowblower so the snow doesn't dare fall in MY yard" .

I didn't even think of that. It would be more of a pain in the neck for us doing that than having the snow blower. As it is right now, we have no place for the mower. So it sits behind the shed with a cover over it that we ordered. (We have no garage here) So if we got it for the mower, then every time we went to use it, we'd have to shovel a path to the mower anyway just to use it. At least now the snow blower can be kept next to the side porch in the winter months and in the shed in the summer months.

Quote: We had that problem with our 1st john Deer ...it was a hand me down from my in-laws .
It was a light weight ...my hubby would get stuck I would have to go & set on it too .
(That sounds like I was a horse ) My 100 + weight did the trick most of the time ...Sometimes I had to push too ..

If your hubby is interested you can make a hoop coop for the tractor / Snow blower .
We did our tractor is hiding in one for the winter .

I was thinking of looking for something portable that we could store the lawn mower and snowblower under. Gotta do some research. Something like half the size of a car port.

Make one of Rancher's Hoop coops. Use half for the equipment and the other half. Hmm...wonder what you could put in there?

Hey, that's my plan to store hay and wood shavings. NOT in the garage. Plus all the other stuff like winter waterer storage for summer waterers.

I don't have a rider but my dumb neighbor does and they left it in the yard and it's covered with snow. Burns me to no end.
