2014 New York Chickenstock

Many little plum trees did make it and are budding out !! Whoop!

HOWEVER - the starving rabbits have pre-pruned the tops .... I think this will only make the root system stronger - but please - you all decide ....

So I'll call again for who wants a wild plum (beech plum) twigling (I say that not sapling as they are around 2 feet high).

$5 each and due to the nibbled nature of some of their tops - I'm letting anyone off the list - and starting over again .... Sorry if it is a pain - but I don't want anyone to feel they have been jipped in the quality department.

I would love a couple plum trees if you have some.

I would love a couple as well if you have some available.

I've finally figured it out.

I'll be bringing some home made apple, strawberry, and blackberry jelly for the auction. I also have a few small jars to sell. Apple (2), and Blackberry (1) $2. If anyone is interested in some more blackberry I have some more that I need to make that I can bring.

I also have some large spider plants (house plants) that I desperately need to split up. If you are interested in some please let me know. I'll have a bunch of them. $2.00 ea small pots. If you would like a hanging basket it would be $10.00. (I'm trying to make some money to build a hoop coop for my ducks.)

I'll also bring a couple bags ice (as many as I can fit in my cooler) and a case of water bottles for the picnic.

I'll get one blackberry jam my son will eat it. I would get more if I could eat it but unless it has Splenda for a sweetener no can do can't have regular sugar.

Maybe you could sell nibbled tops for less like 4.00 ? How bad are they nibbled ?

Plum pics below - young ones have little spurs. All have a nice deep reddish brown bark. Take pruning to any space very well. Naturally will grow like a giant bush ... My mother tree is about 12 to 14 feet high and 7 to 10 feet wide. White fragrant flowers are the first of the orchard to open up.

I have decided to see if I can find a good home for my BCM - Bev Davis lines I think - Pyxis and I split an order of hatching eggs last year - he has done his job for me ... and stamped his babies with his feathered feet and dark color very well. Will trade for any odd chicken feeders, or supplies; of course will trade for a pullet. He is totally fine with people and my ES dog .... will fight other roos. He is a BIG boy. Nice and healthy. bit of frost bite from this hard winter - but has large comb and wattles ....I picked him up just this morning to take a look. He was fine with the holding but was glad to get down. The pic below is of him last summer at maybe 6 months old ? Give or take. His black is more black and his copper more copper now. Just giving you an idea. If you want a current pic - I'll work on it - I have bandwidth and camera issues right now.
