I am very interested in one of your pullets. I have a small flock of 2 (Rhode Island and Bantam) about 4 months and I would like to introduce another hen around that same age asap. You have any available still? Thank you

Quote:I saw him too! Considered purchasing him, but since I would have wanted to show him he needed to be dubbed, and I don't think I could ever do that! He's so handsome! We saw him there as well and considered taking him home too, as we have three OEGB BBR hens, but it was just too crowded for us to stop at that time. I liked seeing his comb in the natural state. As I recall his looked very good, with no blackness on any of the points. One seller told me that the tail of the OEGB shrink as they get old. Don't know if that's correct, but I thought it was an interesting thought.![]()
Darcy0502 I think you can treat those scaly legs with a good rub down of olive oil a couple times a week. Maybe others have more experience with it than I but I don't think its very hard to get them to slough off those old raised scales. Then you can show in 4H without worrying about it.
