What day are those guinea eggs on? They look pretty clear to me :/

I have no clue! That's what I want to know- a thing in there??? I got these pics and don't understand what they mean !

No harm in letting them go a little longer, guineas do take longer to hatch, 28 days I believe.



I candled my first batch of eggs tonight, I pulled 3 quitters and 3 clears out of 42 eggs so far. 4 Silkie or Sizzle eggs and 2 Sexlink mixed with whatever rooster managed to catch them. I have a bunch of cuckoo Marans eggs in there that are pretty dark. All I could make out in them was the air cell, so I've left them all for now. All of my EE eggs are developing though, so that makes me happy! I didn't bother candling my second batch of eggs, they're mostly Marans, olive EE eggs and Ameraucanas, all very hard to see into and they're only a few days in, so.....we'll see in a few more days if I can see anything in the first batch of Marans eggs and I'll attempt to candle the second batch for the first time

I am setting my incubator July 30th. It will be my second time. First time only 4 of 36 made it with only 4 hatching. A lot of late deaths. I've put my roos in with the hens I want the with and have a couple of friends giving me fertile eggs as well. I'm getting eggcited to say the least. I currently have an Americauna broody on 9 eggs. They are due to hatch in 8 days.

I put 4 Olive Egger eggs under my broody hen today. First time with a broody, her first time setting eggs.

good luck I Canceled 3 of my broodys eggs and all were active and had good veins at 13 days. WOOHOO

Good luck! I have some Marans/EE mix eggs in the 'bator that I'm hoping make olive eggs for me


I've got 2 broodies and a second incubator full of eggs that need to be candled soon

You guys were right, those were not fertilized. I did a major inspection of the nest when the hen took a luck break. I saw many different things but threw at least 8 clears out. After seeing the other "middle of the nest eggs" the clears were so obvious. I think I have some blood rings too but left those because I was uncertain. At least the hen can fit on the entire neat now so hopefully I won't lose any more of the babies on the outskirts !

Oh P.S. My husband finally took a look today and the baby chick moved inside the egg! Totally freaked him out he squealed like a little girl and ran out of the coop, hilarious!!
