Well it is that time of year and the peacocks here are just a calling tonight and humps are showing up along with a few chases so i figured it is time to start the 2015 season.
anyone got them boys hollering tonight?

Haven't heard any noise yet, but Peep's neck has had a bump on the back for around 2 months now. The other boys don't have the bump on their neck yet. Breeding season is here for Peep but not for Frosty and Alto.

I can't wait for you to come here Zaz I am definitely going to have to figure out a way to meet up with you.

That would be really fun! I am an hour from Josh. I will most likely bring Aaron if that is okay. I probably can't go if I don't bring him anyways. I have been curious to see how Josh catches his peafowl. We can help you load up the birds.

if the weather is bad here and is gonna be all week , it ain't nothing for them to hop a plane and go somewhere the weather is nice.

I will get with you before the trip and we will make arrangements, we are going to be there for a couple days, i need that to recoup from the long drive not sure how much fun i will have after that cause i will be worried about my animals.they will literally be in the paws of my guardian dogs but they are excellent at what they do and have never let me down when i had to be away for days at a time with a sick husband

I'm not getting any calls from Colbolt. He's been fanning though and he's really focused on Sage. When he was fanning he just kept shaking his wings vibrating his train and spinning. I think Colbolt's ready. I'm still debating on if I should wait for Thora to turn 2 years in August and see if she will take to Colbolt or wait for next year. Marshmallow isn't even a year yet so I won't try and breed her yet. I'm excited to get White peafowl this year and some Black Shoulders. I think this year is going to be my favorite since I'm getting more poultry then ever before and the only restriction I was put on was I have to pay for it all. The pen building, the new peafowl, everything that comes with that. Also I'm getting Black Australorp pullets this Spring. 25 of them which will be the largest amount of chickens I've ever had. I'm also thinking about maybe adding more to my Indian Runner duck flock. Maybe buy 2 or 3 duckling hens. Just so that those that want to buy ducklings from me get a little bit of diversity with blood line. Also get more into the duck egg business as well instead of just chicken egg.

I think I'm seeing a breeding bump on Colbolt.

I wouldn't be surprised if he did. Last year he would call once he saw sunlight and when he saw sunlight after his call and preening he would start his dancing.
