Can you pip a small hole in air cell very carefully? Then very very carefully chip a big enough hole to take a picture so we can see. ?

I can do that, but (almost) DW has something she wants me to do first.

The chick is breathing, it almost looks labored.



I put it back into the hatcher. I think I can see blood in the membrane where it comes into contact with the shell, way down in there.

Moistened the membrane with warm water on your finger, gives u a better idea of what membrane looks like

Then take another picture after membrane is moistened, there will probably always be s little bit of blood, just have to gauge. I am betting u need to open membrane where beak is but u get s better idea of position when u can see thru it.
