This is a rare face-off between my 17 week old Easter Egger, Honey, and my Havanese dog, Mojo, both of them frozen in "about to pounce" posture. Neither moved for at least 20 seconds and then they both launched. Generally, Honey comes out the better, and it is all play on Mojo's part. He has never so much as cost her a feather. Honey regularly pecks him, pushes him, and sometimes jumps right up on Mojo's back! And every once in a while, as in this photo, he has enough and gives her a little bit back. Or tries to...

No abused chicken here. Honey is the absolute Boss of everybody, meaning the rest of the flock, both dogs...and sometimes the humans, too. If I didn't know better, I would think she was a rooster!

That is the cutest stinken thing! This better go in the calender!

I'm so sorry your chickens were taken by predators. They were beautiful.
