2016 Gosling Hatch-a-long

When I crossed my buff African with the white Chinese I only got buff females and the males were white with bits of buff here and there so I was wondering how to get buff males so then I crossed my giant Brown African gander with the buff Chinese and the goslings which were 3 goslings (all male) were the skinniest ganders I ever saw and all brown.
So imagine crossing a male buff African with the buff Chinese I will get skinny buff males so that's how you create buff Chinese males ;)
And then test the buff Chinese geese with eachother to see how it will turn out!

Seems simple enough! I think I would breed Pomeranian and Embden a few generations, breed the ones with the most spots and the smallest spots.

SERV'S THEORY ON DEVELOPEING BUFF CHINESE GEESE

1.) Buff African Gander X White Chinese Goose

Keep the female goslings(males are white therefore useless) for the following spring lets call these females BCF1 (Buff Chinese/Cross Female 1)

Following Spring

2.) Buff African Gander X BCF1 you will keep the male goslings as they will be Buff and very slender and skinny (perfect features for the chinese breed).
We will call these males BCM2 (Buff Chinese/Cross Male 2)

Following Spring

3.) Get unrelated BCF1 and unrelated BCM2 and cross them to get the final result and further breed a generation or two to get the chinese standard geese and eventually you will get your buff chinese :D

*Please Note that i didn't do step 3 yet (it's all theroy)*

This could be the start of a new breed!

We will start a new breeding program! if you want small spots do you still want their wing/flight feathers to be spotted?
Never seen people crossing breeding with Pomeranians ;)

I think the males would be white split for buff, so if you bred it with a buff female (therefore not adding in pure african) the offspring would be all buff.

Can't eat Opie! Never eat your oldest or the main flock! Just eat the kids......... ( sounds terrible

I've read that the buff American and Brecon buff came from the pomeranian? And eventually the buff African came due to the American buff.
So you could try and breed to get buff saddleback Pomeranians
