thanks! She's my favorite & a goal that was met when I first started with geese. Her and her siblings changed the minds of many purebred snobs that came here to buy goslings lol they came for purebred but left with crosses

My first gosling of the year is starting to make its entrance I woke up this morning with an external pip and it hasn't started zipping yet but im excited.

I'm going to miss my cross breeds and cross breeding.
I only have Africans and one embden and the embden is the only way I'll get the mixes.
Maybe in future again

Have you had an African x embden cross? Or seen one up close? They are awesome. A friend of mine has one, she is huge and so pretty. Lays an egg that reminds me of a dinosaur lol probably because of her age. Shes 19 this year.

I get those crosses every year and due to their colour and size they are sold straight away. I never had one of these crosses more then a year so I don't know their full size and features but they are supposed to also grow a dewlap.
This year I will get them again

Here's the parents

Male goslings are lavender

Females are brown with white stripe on the belly or white in the flight feathers or completely brown.

Males either stay blue or turn white with spots of lavender.

Females stay brown but don't get a pure black beak.

This is the only cross breeds I will get for now on
And wow 19 and still laying!? Wonder how far this cross can live for? Africans are the ones known to live over 25 years
