Yep some of those roosters would just crush my hens.
I have a chocolate orp cockerel who is 3 months old and is trying to mate the hens already. He is already twice the size of the bantam orps. I saw him jump on one the other day, and then afterwards he got up and stepped right on her back & walked off. His foot is the size of her whole back.

Here are the pics I took of the Orps. That Black cockbird must have been two feet tall, easy... he was HUGE...

Cool! I like the black ones. I have a little black pullet I was thinking of showing but I think she is too skinny. Maybe she will fill out more when she gets older.

I had a great time today visiting with all the BYC'ers at the show. It was alot of fun. I met PETROCK and her daughter, CAYCHRIS and Kern and his wife Karen, Also met the lady that has silkie cochins. I am sorry I cant remember her name. Who was the young girl with the rooster on a leash? Also THE KEEPER was there.

Yes, had much more fun talking with you all than seeing all the birds, although that was great also. Kern

We had a fantastic time, loved meeting people so we can put a couple faces to names and learning so much from others. In the years since I first started raising we have had some great birds and good experiences and also some real life lessons, yikes... but the one thing I have come to treasure is the knowledge how nice, approachable and willing to share poultry people are. I'm so lucky to have this part of my life, it renews my faith in people. There were a couple new people we met just getting stared that just didn't get it or understand we are all there to help each other, socialize (some more than others lol) and while we want to do great and get certain birds we love to see others success appreciate a good animal no matter who owns it.

I have another fluffy butt from Chooklet. I LOVE HER.. the hen and Dyann both

and we were able to get our first three Jersey Giants, thank you CaseAcres, I'm still just so dang excited to get to know them!

Thank you every one for making this such a wonderful event. I look forward to when we can get together again!

The one thing I will do next year is post good directions for everyone, we couldn't go last year and wasted a good hour lost with half a dozen other people lol
