2016 Turkeys in Georgia

We usually do meat chickens (Freedom Rangers) but this year we decided to do turkeys. I got the assortment from Murray McMurray. Any guesses on what the brown ones are?

Based on the description of the varieties that may be included and the fact that they do not claim that the package consists of heritage varieties, it is my guess that you have received a package that consists of broad breasted whites and broad breasted bronzes. The price of $8 per poult would also indicate that the poults are the broad breasted ones.

Whether or not the poults are broad breasted, the dark ones are bronze poults.
