2018 Newbie Chat!

Hi guys, seeings as there have been posting of eggs lately, I thought I'd join in and post a pic of my girl's eggs too. Also, I'm hoping you will shed some light on a matter for me?.... for the last few days Lilah's eggs have been smaller than she would lay, they are slightly lighter in colour and the shape is changing too - they've always been the typical egg shape but lately they seem to be getting longer and thinner, as well as smaller than usual. - is this normal, is this something which happen a lot?
Also, Pedro laid an egg today which is massive, it is so big it won't fit in an egg box. Pedro lays the biggest eggs out of my three chickens who lay, but today's is ridiculously big and I'm worried there is something wrong, or that either of these cases are a sign that something is wrong?

First off - my girls eggs - from left to right - first two are duck eggs, they belong to Midnight and Aurora but I don't know which is which - next is Jellybean's followed by Lilah's then Pedro's

You can see on here that Lilah's egg is thinner than the others - unfortunately I don't have any of her previous eggs so am unable to show you the difference in shape from how they used to be but here is a pic of her eggs laid yesterday and today, on the left is today's egg and on right is yesterdays egg - you can see a difference in shape of the two, which both are different than all her previous eggs.

And finally Pedro's egg from yesterday which is usual size of her eggs and today's which is so big I don't even know how she managed to lay it!

Do I have cause to worry?

Make sure they have oyster shell available, and don’t worry too much. Mine are all new layers and we have some of these same issues- one of my girls laid an egg that looks dented on one side! And Pedros large egg is probably a double Yolker.. also common in new layers.

Thank You! Just was such a worry for such a little chicken to lay such a big egg!
Just to confirm though, Lilah isn't a new layer she's been laying for about 6 months so hopefully there still isn't any cause for worry?
