Hello everyone! Last September I went to a local swap in Southern Virginia. I had brought about 15 roosters with me, all of which I had hatched that spring and was trying to get rid of. While I was there, I spoke with some other people who had had the same issue. One lady hatched 18 Cream Legbars - All of which were roosters. Another, 21 English Orpingtons, 3 of which were pullets. Since it had been such a wet year (at least in VA), I couldn't help thinking it had something to do with that. Did any of you have an over-rooster-fied 2018? Also, did any of you from Mid or Western USA, or Canada have similar issues? Anyone have speculation on why it was a Roostery year? Hopefully 2019 isn't as bad for us!
