So I let my broody hen out of the coop and she stayed out for an hour and s half and when I put her back In the coop she went to go up to her eggs and then she just came right back down the latter and did not go to sit on them? I've had a broody before but I had the total opposite she would not get off the nest to eat or anyting so I'm not really sure what to do with this one?

Going into lockdown tonight. Fingers and toes crossed.

So I just went to open the coop door to let the flock in to the coop. And before I let them in i went to see what my broody was doing, and she was on the roost. When I walking up to her she puffed up like she was sitting on a nest. So I put back on her nest and she sat down lol. I hoping she gets the hang of it and stays broody

My broody hen haa been off the nest for a while and when I walk up to her she acts like a broody and puffs up but just wont sit on the eggs. The door of the coop is closed so she is by herself. Today us day four of her being broody what should I do.

Just give her some space and time and see what happens. Some hens are on and off for a while before they get serious broody. Some hens are never good broodies. They get to distracted and don't take good care of their eggs. I don't think you are ready for fertile eggs yet. Patience.

Thank you,
