We had our first week where there was ice on top of my duck's water. I pumped and dumped out the water and flipped the ice out. They were so curious about the ice and tried to eat it. Of course, they all got in the refilled pools like 'what it's cold?'..
I would love to be able to get either one of 2 coop for my hospital unit. I do a lot of rescues and help my community with their injured birds. I've reached hens that have been attacked by predators, one ended up with a amputated wing, I took in flocks riddled with lice, mites and worms treated them and taught their owners how to properly care for them. Today I rescued a flock that are underweight, anemic, riddled with mites and one with severe cross beak that's tongue is dry and shriveled up. The hospital unit I have is falling apart so a new one would be just what the chicken ordered.
