Look at these handsome dudes (no chance that ones a girl still, is there? :/ )

Ones definately greyier than the other. Tempted to maybe keep one just to get more pure barreds from next year. If it were just of these two, which would be more like they're supposed to look like? I'm thinking the dark black that's straighter instead of the almost dappled grey one

Sorry I don't know the answer, but you sure have a bunch of nice looking birds this year!

Thanks! Besides the substitutes and the silkies, I'm really happy with my hatchery birds.

I might be able to get Yokohama like planned, I got a call on Thursday saying I was next for waitlist and they could add it to my order if I wanted and need to call tomorrow to see if they're still available. I need a new phone, I keep missing calls from people recently, *sigh*

Compared to my one that has like one white stripe on her wings, would you be confidant that they're both boys though? Or are you not sure about that part too?
:( That's part of what I'm not sure about.

I typically do not have barred birds, because there's always some other color I think is prettier. So I know the theory--more white on the males--but I don't know where to draw the line. If you are able to raise them until the combs/wattles make their gender clear, then you'll know for next time.

I sometimes just butcher probable-males as early as I think I know, and check for testicles. I'm been right more often than not with the ones I've raised, but as I said, that has not included ones with barring.
