Eep, miscounted days. Apparently this afternoon was lockdown, and I just turned. I had forgotten, we had a shirt power outage in the beginning which must have reset the counter, so I was discounting by 2 days.

No outside pips yet, no one had internally pipped this afternoon either

One of my broodies is pipping. Trying not to be worried since I trust this incubator, but I'm just petrified. It's a tiny pip, not enough to see anything besides a crack.

I have work for a few hours and then shopping to fix up stackers for my batchlor shed, hoping I come home to a full pip or a start of a zip. I know I won't have a fully hatched baby in just 8 hours, but I can't help but think about it.

2 of my broody eggs hatched! Two others have pipped, hoping the last has pipped and just isn't where I can see it. However humidity dripped to 53 and in worried that shrinkwrapped everyone.

I'll probably update when I candle since until then they basically just sit there and rock.

But yes, hopefully now I can get up when it goes off, and then go back to bed

Babies 1 and 2 are looking like they weren't my broody's actual chicks. They must have been from spitzhauben eggs. Still cute though. Baby 3 just popped out

Goodness, they're so quiet too. Just sleeping and sitting under the lamp. It's so nice.....

Emergency broody hatch:
6 eggs went in
1 didn't develop
5 hatched with no help, and very fast too

2 blues and 3 blacks.
Looks like 1 from broody mama and 4 from spitzhauben hens

1 mosaic
1 naked neck
1 that was *supposed* to be an NN, but isn't apparently. Appears my Phoenix male got a luck shot with that hen

1 that was supposed to be a naked neck, but isn't
2 bright yellow mosaic chicks
1 possible cemani??
And 6 or 7 regular mosaics,


Plus the 5 mixes from earlier
