I’d assume not considering it would look terrible on a “side ways, rectangular shape”.

It will be considered if it can be cropped. to fit 11" wide by 8.5" tall.

You cannot use a photo that won an award in another BYC sponsored contest.

Is this all photo contests on BYC, or just photo contests that was started by either staff or project managers? I'm asking because I've entered some pictures on some photo contests over here on BYC that was just for fun, started by BYC members, and had no prices except for bragging rights, and I was wondering if photos entered and/or won those are aloud in this contest.

Great question! You may enter any photo as long as it did not win an award in a contest that was started by VPMs or staff members.
