I first heard it watching videos of zr2 Colorado trucks
Zed is the British way also. Son and I watched Peppa Pig when he was little and they said zed. And a zebra is called a zedbra for them, no joke
Holy cow, I never realized this! That's why I was always confused when these British people kept pronouncing the Nissan Z as the Nissan Zed. And then wanting to sound like I knew what I was talking about as I was assuming they were correct, I just called them Zeds as well. :oops:

I use the pronunciation "zed" for stuff as well. Makes it easier for me to hear the difference between e and z.
