2023 TSC Chick Prices

Heard TSC raised their prices on baby chicks. Thought we could compare regionally to see. Last time I was there the chick bins were set up but chick days hadn’t stated. If you are at TSC and see prices (& breeds) please post how much and the general area.

I ordered my June chicks in January and thank goodness…if I wanted to add anything now there is almost nothing available.

Chick mania is crazy this year!

Since TSC mostly uses Hoovers, and since Hoovers has raised prices...

Yes, I'm expecting some sticker shock, and curious as to how regional it may be,

I didn’t even get to look at prices when I was just at tractor supply since they have been selling out within hours of putting the chicks out. The biggest price shock that I have seen this year is My Pet Chicken wanting $129.99 for a started Orpington pullet and $76.99 for a started Olive Egger mutt.

$80 for a started MUTT??? For $80, I'd paint the first 40 eggs green from a chicken of your choice, and I'll even provide the paint!

SW Neb here. Not TSC but my local Orshelns has RIR 4.29, EE, SLW, and black sex links 3.99. Cornich cross 2.99

I got mine from a local feed store, just to compare. My Jersey Giant, Buff Orpington, and New Hampshire Red were $3.75. My Silver Laced Wyandotte was $4.75.

I may sneak into TSC at some point this week. If I do, I'll let you know what prices they've got here in northern Alabama.

Thanks. I have to grab oyster shell soon, and will wander over to the bins to check out the selection. Not worried about impulse purchase as we still have snow and I like to be able to take field trips outside with my babies. Lol

I will likely be there today. However, I don't recall any previous price, so I'll just observe and report.
