I am a photographer and now a chicken parent, making time to document my babies and learn the responsibilities of looking after them to the best of my abilities. BYC is such a beautiful community that guides and supports my learning. Thank you!

That’s amazing! I love photography! So far I am just teaching myself, but I would like to get some lessons on it. My birds are the only things I take pictures so far, but I would love to get good at taking pictures of wildlife, people, and scenery.

Important - Please Read​

All entries are entered into a spreadsheet as they are submitted, and you can check this spreadsheet to see if your entry qualifies. In the comments section of the sheet, the reason for disqualification is listed.

If your entry has been disqualified, you may enter a replacement, just make a new post, and we will make a note in the spreadsheet. The reason for disqualification is listed in the spreadsheet in column C.

Entries will be disqualified if:

• They are in the wrong format. Wrong = portrait or square
  
  
• They are too small to judge. The picture that you upload must be at LEAST 3,000 pixels wide & 2,000 pixels. If you aren't sure of your picture's size, use this: Pictorum Image Analyzer or upload it to BYC's Gallery.
• If they are screenshots. Screenshots are not allowed.
• If they have text, watermarks, datestamps, etc., on them.
• If the photo has people in it.
• If the picture is not a chicken.

I can’t seem to get good tails on these young cockerels because they apparently like to eat each other’s tails but this guy is better than most.
