My chick Junior hatched one day later Because the broodies left him behind I took the chick inside in a kangaroo sack and with a towl on top to keep Junior warm.
In the evening I tucked Junior in under one of the mama’s. Next day Junior could follow.

PS Junior is a bantam red speckled Sussex. Mai 2023

Do they dust bathe in it? I have a couple that dust bathe in a dog bed.

Pretty hen.

this was taken in portrait and I've cropped to make wider than high, but I don't know how to check if it'll work at your stated dimensions; hopefully it does, but if not, never mind. It's his 4th birthday today, and this was his mum this morning making sure he was looking his best before he left the dappled spring shade :)

Very cute!

So many adorable birds! How will they ever choose? I find myself flipping through the pics just for the smile it brings me. Maybe you could start a magazine? I'd, sure, subscribe 🥰
There is a Backyard Poultry magazine (though I don't believe that they're connected to BYC). Here's a link to their subscription: https://bky.iamcountryside.com/loading.do?pk=EBPDNNZE&omedasite=bky_new

I don't get the Backyard Poultry magazine, but what I do is order all the free magazines from chicken hatcheries like Murray McMurray and Cackle. (I actually have several of my pictures in the Murray McMurray catalog.)
