They look so adorable!!! May I ask what color variety they are? They are super dark!

Aww thankyou! they were black Coturnix quail, a recessive gene causes the black pigments… I bred them for a while but then my whole flock got wiped out by rats they are quite rare here in the uk but really nice birds would recommend!!

Still a bit confused it says that they’re considered that if they have been raised for meat, eggs or feathers but he was raised as a pet so I guess he doesn’t count?

Do Emu’s count as domestic poultry? I know an old emu who is basically the father of a pair of young frizzles

They are so cute!!!

Glowy and Onyx dust bathing together. Just yesterday Onyx spent around 20 minutes slowly picking the dirt off Glowys feathers. They are such close friends♡
