They are so cool !!!!!! how many eggs did you 'bat?
I ended up with 6.5 out o' 18 eggs.I know zzactly what you mean about 'em fallin asleep. Mine will suddenly stop what ever they are doin, close thier little eyes and then jist kind o' sway back and forth till they drop over

Love your pics. I remember my chicks last year. I sat with them like they were my own kids. I incubated some Jumbo ringnecks for the seller on e-bay that's selling my eggs and he took them home. I sure miss them and I wanted to incubate some of mine too.
Pheasant chicks are hard to raise. Not any LOL here. If you have never raised them before, you need some do's and don'ts unless you made all of my mistakes last year.

What variety of ringneck are they? Bluebacks are my favorite....I really dislike the Chinese. And melanstic mutants are pretty cool too.

Hey thanks guys! They are the ring necks and blue backed. They are from my own flock. I have 6 cock birds and 12 hens. I have them separated out to 2 hens per cock bird. Last summer I got 26 chicks. I lost just a few. I traded some to a friend, we butchered some and a few have got out. I started with 40 eggs in the bator, after the first time I candled I was down to 37. Of those 22 hatched and 1 died in the process. So I now have 21 beautiful babies. And on the 20th I am expecting 40 more! As far as size comparison. I have it pictured beside a 1 day old Buff Orp. The pheasant is 4 days old. And in the other pics it is on a teaspoon. I hope you can tell how tiny they are. And how beautiful they are!!!!!
This batch is going to the auction on Saturday. I am really hoping to get a little bit of money for them!

I plan on hatching some later in the summer and keeping them. Then I will band my adults and release them!
