21 week old pullets...no eggs...I'm going crazy!

Courage! I thought my 4 barred rocks and 8 Araucanas would never lay but finally at about 25 weeks they started and then within 10 days were going full steam. Today I had nine eggs from the 12 hens.

If I have wait until it cools off I won't get eggs until october! ahh, lol. Its supposed to be around the 100 range through the weekend, but maybe we'll have a tropical system come our way and cool some things off. It has been pretty miserable here. All three are very red in the face so I hope its soon! I feel alot better knowing I'm not the only one waiting for eggs

Our black stars just started laying in the last week. ours never did the squat or any of those things. just keep checking and soon you will have an egg. P.S it is not as hot here as it is where you are im sure, but we bought them one of those water misters. it seems to keep them cooler. Maybe we should get one for ourselves LOL
