1 more question when i take them out n put them in brooder, i have couple more hatching, would it affect them by lifting the lid, also wana candle the rest just incase they need help..

I would not lift the lid unless u really need to for example if one has not started zipping 12 hours after pipping, like i sed you can leave the hatched ones in there for a while and any that have pipped shoudnt worry you unless they have made no progress 12 hours after and any that havent pipped could just hatch a day or two later which often happens, or some one may not hatch at all due to a deformity or other difficulty.

If you lift the lid while others are hatching the humidity will drop and some chicks might get shrink wrapped which is when they dry out and become stuck inside the shell, hope this info helps you a bit

Thank u so much for the info i was just worried for few who would be in the incubator for 24 hours in next few hours. Can i not increase the humidity again with wet sponge etc? Im just going in now and see what they r doing been at work since 4 and its 2am now.

Also should i use wood chips in the brooder or newspaper as someone said they can eat their droppings and get ill, with newspaper u cn chnge it few times in a day. Dont know if that works for everyone. I bought some chips anyway lol

I have 9th hatching and the others i had to take them out. And i have put little bit water around the outer membrane and its back in the bator, filled the channels up again. Hope he makes it
