.22 cb short for butchering chickens

About the BB gun it was the only thing I had nearby. I have a many shotgun, rifle, pistol. This was a feral not a pet

It wasnt my idea.....it was a way that was passed on to me by someone very experience that has performed it that way several times. On the thread I posted she explains in detail how she carries it out. To each their own and definetly use caution and have a dirt bank or the like behind where you are shooting for safety of yourself and everyone else, of course. I believe she shoots them in her barn up against dirt and a wooden wall and has not had a problem.

I MUST CHANGE MY EARLIER POST!!!!! I went to the thread from long ago to find the post # and she states she uses a .17 pellet rifle NOT a ..22. Not sure of the difference. I apologize for my mistake. Starts at post #25 If you are considering it please read how she carries it out she has pics of her setup.

I would use a axe or a killing cone.As a gun owner Ammo is getting so hard to get ahold of now that i would consider it a waste plus the safety of near by things like people or other animals.

I personally can not think of any way to rationalize using a firearm or pellet gun to harvest farm raised chicken. It just does not make any cense. It would cost more, be less effective, make a mess, and potentialy be dangerous.
