22 month GP chasing my chicks -- get rid of her?

My pug chases everything thst comes into the yard. Bunnies, birds squirrels etc. He does not bother my hens at all and never has since we got them. He has been through many positive reinforcement clicker based training classes and is CGC certified. The most valuable words he has learned are LEAVE IT. Peaceful coexistence ;)

OMG that's a great picture!
Our dog is doing okay with "Leave it" but isn't totally reliable, yet. We're getting there, but I really don't want to lose any of our biddies while she's still a work-in-progress. I've seen clicker training used for other things, but never for chicken-manners. How did that work?

we already had multiple classes of training before we got the girls..just like anything else we trained he was rewarded with a cluck and a treat for "leave it" when I asked. We kept them on other side of pen at first and practiced leave it..when they turned away from the chickens we clicked and treated. Then on leash at first when I let the girls out. No pulling, no hyperfocus more clicks and treats

THANK you! It looks like we need to start clicker training. My daughter is doing basic obedience with our new dog as a 4H project. She is dong pretty well with her, but she's doing it pretty much on her own. There isn't anyone in our area who doesn't charge an arm and a leg to show her how. She's done a lot of online searching, but good, easy-to-follow instructions for genuine newbies are hard to find.
