22 week chickens no eggs

Cross breed of Rhode island red and? They are suppose to be highly productive. Can you tell I'm new

Where are you located? Weather conditions are a factor.
Are they free ranging? Possible hidden nest.
What are you feeding?
How many in your flock?
How many nest boxes?
Size of your coop/run?
Are you sure they're pullets?

Bright red comgs/wattles are sign laying as well as the squat. Post a few pictures for us to check out. They're probably pretty close, depending on what they're bred with.

there are 7. Got them in May 1 day old. They are iga/Rhode island breed. Feeding them layer pellets started about two weeks ago. Coop has 4 nesting areas. There is an enclosed run about 8ft long. They have only free range three times. I live in Massachusetts.

Following. I’m in a similar situation. 20 week old pullets. Not convinced they aren’t dropping eggs somewhere other than nesting boxes since they free range but I left them in their coop until noon one day to see if I could catch an egg but no luck.

Daylight is decreasing, and has been since June, and may delay the onset of eggs in pullets. Some chicks hatched in the mid to late summer won’t lay until daylight increases in early spring. However, yours will likely lay this fall.

what do their combs look like? Are they pink or red?

Hi, I’m new at this too/ so don’t take my word as gold. I have 6 chickens around age 24 weeks and one started laying this week. The heat seems to delay laying. They look healthy, most have formed combs and wattles, but it has just been a hot summer. The heat is lowering every day and they are starting to squat more and more.

I hope that helps. I was very nervous until someone told me this.
