And all it made was another little hole?
Is this normal. I'm pretty sure the little guy/girl is still alive because I hear chirping
Should I help it or does this normal?

Okay the little chick is jsut about hatched, but its upside down!
Is this okay?!
Its little legs are sticking straight up!

Okay, thanks

Indeed it can be. Sadly my first hatch was a complete dud out of 18 eggs.

- But the next one was amazing. Lots of Marans out of gorgeously dark eggs.

- And now those little'uns are 5 weeks old. . . Since that second hatch I've been incubating back to back.

Right now I've got Tolbunt Polish in the bator, and before that I had more Marans and Ameraucanas plus an EE x Polish and some Jersey Giants.

Be sure to watch the humidity , my last hatch I got busy and let it drop , got 5 out of 14 and 4 peeped amd made holes then died.

I've got three out of the four so far!

But the last one looked kinda behind but caught up maybe in growth so I'm not sure if it'll hatch. Its day 20 for it though
