Ok, I know ducks take longer. Yesterday I had tiny external pips in 4 of my six pekin eggs. Now they each have at least two "pip dents" where they have punched a couple of holes. How long do you let them cook before going in to assist? Today is day 26.I guess the way I should ask it is how long do you wait with no progress before you assist?

Got home this evening to two birds out and one pushing out when I walked in the door! In no time they were playing soccer with the remaining eggs. :) I've moved the three to the brooder and have two good eggs that are still working, they have external pips. The sixth egg was a no go. I dipped their bills in water like I do for chicks and have crumble on the floor of the brooder as well as in a feeder. Is there anything else I need to do for newborns? The other ducks I got from ideal at a day or two by the time I got them!
