24 Orpington Eggs in the bator -6 week update

7 is out. It looks fairly dark right now.

The 2nd one out is very active and very dominant it seems. It goes over and starts pecking at the little pips. Chirp chirp cheep and the baby inside starts fighting to get out even more. Less than 10 minutes for the last two to roll out.

I think they are calling to the ones in the eggs to come out already and play!

[Big Old Dramatic Sigh] They are just so darn CUTE!!! I am so jealous since it looks as though I can't get any chicks until January, or so.

Congrats on your all your babies!!!

I have a pip on one of my frizzles this morning! They are on day 20 and a couple more are wiggling.

Number 8 is out.

Number 9 died almost out of the shell. It was black as tar in the feathering.

10, 11, 12, 13, 14 - the largest eggs - are appearing to dry out. I took the dry babies out and used a dropper to wet the membranes a tenny bit. All five are chirping to beat the band.

Of the 14 eggs 12 have hatched, 1 died trying to get out of the shell, 1 has not pipped yet.

It has been an amazing last 24 hours!

Great job! I guess it was worth the drive! I have some blue & Black orps from sunchick that are due to start monday....hopefully I'll finally get my first blue orps!! I also have some orps from bamachicken that went in this week....send some of your blue vibe this way!!
