24 Orpington Eggs in the bator -6 week update

Miss Prissy, what a beautiful hatch! They are so pretty! I love their colors of the mix of black, blue, silver. Great job!

Thanks for showing how to bandage toes. Good to know should I need it in the future. (and to do it right away)

Purple Chicken, thanks for sharing that picture from your mama and Miss Prissy's roo.

I am here to help. I am one of those ppl that documents everything. lol

My 10 yr old told me today I was a crazy chicken lady. LOL

The chicks are now between 1 and 2 days old for the 12 of them. I just cleaned the brooder this evening. I put an overflowing quart feeder in the brooder last night when I moved them out of the bator. They have already eat over three quarters of it. That yolk must be long gone! LOL

 Wow! That was some lesson on raising freshly hatched chicks. I have never seen anything like that before in all my 46 years of life! I really enjoyed seeing all those pictures from the beginning to the end. Those are some awesome looking chicks! Thanks for posting those pictures. It sure would make a good classroom lesson for kids if you are a teacher.
