24 Orpington Eggs in the bator -6 week update

Thank you. They are such funny little things! I fed them some meal worms yesterday and they went crazy. Running, dodging, snatching worms from each other. I couldn't help but laugh.

2 weeks ago today my eggs began to hatch. This is how they are progressing.


1. His little toes are giving me a fit. I am always having to fix him a pair of boots. They get wore off or picked off.

2. I love the variation of color on this one.

3. This baby is half the size of the rest and has a rust/yellowish tint in natural light. I think this one might be the brahma cross.

4. Very pretty blakc that I hope is a girl.

5. Do you see some buff in the head?

6. Do you see some buff in the face?

7. Buff/blue cross. The biggest of all the chicks.

8. This one has really pretty coloring, too.

9. Very pretty little chick. I hope it is a girl.

10. This chick is not as pale as it looks. My flash washes it out to almost white. It is silvery, very light but not as white as htis photo appears. The legs do appear greenish to me.

11. I like the variation of color ont his little chick.

I am tickled pink with them all. How unfair is it that some of the little roos will have to be rehomed?

WOW! They are growing up to be such handsome good looking chicks. I just love all those shades of blue. Hopefully someone will need one of the handsome roos for breeding. Thanks for sharing!

Very pretty babies. I need to take some new pictures of mine. I have an old welsummer hen who has toes like that. She's 5 and they haven't slowed her down one bit.
