25 hours no zip, seems to try

Thanks for all the tips. I have noticed what I think is the umbilical cord is attached by a thin string. It follows her around and I don’t plan to do anything with it. I’m hoping it dries and the white sac falls off. The last one was in the shell. Yes, it is 2:30am here and I have a virtual meeting for work at 8! Will be a long day tomorrow!:frow Thanks again for all of your help!

It will be a long day for you. These chicks have no idea the stress they put us through!

That white stuff is just the waste deposits that collect inside the egg. You may need to snip it off, but it should dry up and fall off by itself.

You are right about the stress, yeesh! :barnieYou have been so kind! Thanks again! I’ll post pics when she is fluffed up!

This little chick has been eating and drinking, just has some coconut oil left in her hair I think. She seems to be doing well. :). Her other hatchling is 3 days older and from a much bigger egg so there is quite a difference in size. Will put them together in a day or two when this one is more stable on her legs, but the older one was walking on and pecking this one this morning so we separated them by a clear divider so they can see each other.
