Yes, the poor thing. Aw, well I can tell you we had an accident moving out coop a few years ago and one of our chickens legs got stuck and ended up broken (we were pretty sure). She recovered and hopped on it for 3 years! I hope yours will be able to adjust.He's good all except that something is wrong with his right leg , probably the reason he couldn't make it out and got shrink-wrapped , poor guy
The first batch we had were RIR, Barred Rock, and Buff Orpington, but I think the lady we got these from (2 Easter eggers, and olive egger and then the rooster) bred her own and essentially were mixed breeds.
Oh I hope your little one is still improving! I was wondering about a maran roo too, as I’m pretty sure that is what the lady we got him from had said about her other ones. Our newly hatched one continues to do well, is growing well and eating and drinking. Because we had just two hatch (we incubated 8) we decided to pick up 3 more the same age at our local agriculture store. The five are all together, the same size, doing great!
