25 weeks old MISSING ( FOUND UPDATE) could she be broody

My favourite chicken didn't come to roost tonight.
She is 25 weeks red sex link.
I didn't think that she was laying eggs yet.
My flock of 8 are fenceless free range.
Could she be sitting on eggs so young???

I agree, that would be a pretty young broody, but I suppose it's possible.

sex links are not known for being particularly broody & if she hasn't even started to lay (that you know of) I'd be surprised if she'd already hoarded a clutch to sit on. I hope she comes home soon

She turned up this morning, she looks a little fluffier than normal.
I had to go to work so I couldn't follow her, to see if she is nesting
She is a very friendly chicken and loves her pats and treats, she is the only chicken that walks in the house,
I found her on the kitchen table eating pumpkin seeds the other day

Day off tomorrow so I will follow her.

So I followed her back to her nest. It was right under my nose. Go figure
18 eggs, wow. She must have been laying from about 21 weeks old.
I took her off the nest and kept her busy took the eggs. I don't need any more chickens.
She has stayed off the empty nest so far.
She went to her roost last night.
At the back door this morning , tap, tap , tap, where's my raisins... I think she is a broken broody.
