Another tip, if your 'tabletop' incubator is actually on the table, move it to the floor!! I had two of my brand new jumbos flop out of the bator and fall right behind the dresser!!
Thought of something else. If your hova is one that has the two small windows in the top, you could just take one of the windows out and 'fish out' the babies that way. That's what I did with mine, after the 'fall behind the dresser' incident. The bator temp was down to 87 degrees, and it wasn't kicking on when I turned the knob. I thought it had quit. Of course now it's up to 100+, so I guess it was just being crazy.
