I posted this elsewhere and thought I would post it here too.

Sonew, you can give just one egg and it's good! The point is to be in a giving place. Here's something I posted in another discussion:

"Not only do I plan to give physical gifts, I'm also planning on giving myself to others. Making those phone calls to those people that would like to hear from me, heading over to helpline house and volunteering, writing letters, sending cards, taking someone's shopping cart to the cart receptacle, asking the clerk about themselves (AND LISTENING!) smiling at people on the street, letting an old person know how beautiful their smile is (I LOVE LAUGH LINES!) ... being open to giving... looking for ways to give..."

There are so many ways to give... the gift of forgiveness... letting someone who doesn't have long distance use your phone, a compliment to a stranger, cooking dinner for someone who is going through something (like moving, or finals at school, or something!) throwing a baby shower for someone new in town, let someone (co-worker, teacher, police officer, anyone you usually wouldn't single out) how special they are... what a difference they make, make a love and wonder jar (found here: http://www.29gifts.org/forum/topics/creative-gift-idea-love-and)

I would like to give it a try!

Today I run into the man who trained me for bus driving, and realized I never thanked him properly, so I made a thank you note, with a bus on it, and wrote a little note of thanks. I also gave him a jar of Habanero gold jelly, and told him how we like to eat it.
I signed the note Sub Drivingly yours, Brenda!
I hope it made his day, he really went an extra mile for some of us, I felt he needed to know I appreciated it!
He seemed kinda down today when I saw him. I slipped the thank you onto his bus and left it on his seat.
It felt really good to do it, so I think this will be a great challenge. We don't have much in the money department, but it doesn't have to cost anything but time!
Glad this post was brought back, I missed it the first time.
