Those aprons will fit on RIR sized hens. The quail sized ones will fit on anything about that size. I have a house sizzle that is smaller than the normal sized sizzle/silkie and the smaller aprons fit her. Not the smallest ones but close. If that gives any idea of what they will fit. If the straps are too long the winner of it can just move the snap down a bit or fold the strap and put a few stitches in it.

I hope your Chickenstock is a huge success. DH has been working saturdays so we won't make it. I wish somebody would hold one closer to me. Nobody does anything around here.

Take the Am and EE eggs off the list. Boo is still broody and all I am getting are the EE eggs from one EE hen.

Does anyone want/need some EE youngsters? Cindy is taking 2 girls (I believe), leaving me with 4 girls and 3 boys. They are about 3 months old, hatched and raised by one of my game hens. 1 of the girls has a straight-comb, the rest have pea combs so should lay blue or green eggs like their 'real' mama.

I'm also up to my ears in button quail eggs if anyone is interested...I believe the current total is 47 since Saturday.

Well, it's time once again! Hope you are all ready, cause tomorrow morning will be here before we know it! I think we'll be setting up in the yard since dad still has not mowed that field. The yard is mowed and has shade, you'll just have to ignore the millions of guineas, ducks, and chickens running around underfoot

We had cthrash1, Mojo Chick'n, and 2 'local' (everyone was technically local) people. The weather did finally clear up but I guess it was too much for some. That's okay, we still had a good time. I think next time, though, cthrash1, Mojo Chick'n, and I will just go to the lake and have a cook-out.

I hope who ever got the aprons liked them. Too bad the weather had to interfere. I'm planning on going to a local swap in Jackson to sell my silkie and sizzle chicks. I have some Orphs too that are going. I only want to keep a few pullets for my roo. The rest will go.
