day three and white silkies. Im being extra cautious. Im not even gonna candle because of bacteria and bacteria is what caused all my other eggs to die

im on day 3 temp been stable at 37.6 humidity fluctuates between 40-50 putting water in through a straw

i will candle days 8-14 & 18, didnt last time

then after taking spacers out at day 18 lockdown wont open till hatch so hopefully !!!!

im using a brinsea octogon 20 with auto turn but i bought a digital hydrometer as it doesnt have a humidity test

I have been breeding a hybrid sex link layer for a year and have never used mechanical incubators I have relied on my Silkie-bators they do wonderfully and can be put into brood mode almost on q I will be trying a 1588 hova with turner next month for the first time ,wish

I'm using a 1588. Seems good. I haven't had to adjust anything.

We just candled and the welsummers don't look good. I'll have to look at my notes from last time, but I'm pretty sure we could see good veins by day 6. I'll try in a few more days when I add water.
We did see veins in 4 of the bonus Easter eggers, but I'm really after quality welsummers.
